The Florida Panhandle is home to some of the most picturesque and versatile wedding venues. There are rustic farms, timeless spaces, and, of course, our stunning beaches. Whether you’re dreaming of an intimate ceremony under ancient oaks or a larger celebration somewhere historic, the Panhandle has something for every couple.
Here are some of my absolute favorite Florida Panhandle wedding venues that I can’t wait to photograph again.
Woodberry in Havana, Florida, tops my list as one of the most stunning wedding venues in the Florida Panhandle. This family-owned venue is nestled on a sprawling 215-acre former tobacco farm, offering endless natural beauty and unique photo opportunities.
Here, you can have a beautiful ceremony at one of many ceremony sites and explore the property for all your photos. There are towering pines, ancient oak trees, and hanging Spanish moss, as well as a vineyard, a pond, and vast open fields. With so much space to explore, couples can stretch their legs and make the most of their wedding day portraits without feeling rushed.
For your reception, Woodberry’s renovated barn is a showstopper, with plenty of room for larger parties. The open-air dance floor allows your guests to party under the stars, complete with a cozy firepit and a charming outdoor bar. Bridesmaids can prepare in a quaint cabin, while groomsmen enjoy their own luxurious “speakeasy”-style barn with a pool table, bar, and plenty of space to hang out.
Woodberry can comfortably accommodate weddings of up to 175 people. And if you book your wedding package with them, you can have your engagement session at their property free of charge. Overall, their packages are really convenient for couples and have a lot included – if it’s at the venue, you can use it – no extra charge!
If you’re looking for a natural, rustic, yet luxurious venue, I cannot recommend Woodberry enough. I can’t wait to return and work there again.
Stepping foot on the property of the Goodwood Museum is like walking through a time portal. This venue is steeped in nearly 200 years of history, and the main house and surrounding grounds offer an incredible backdrop for a wedding day.
The main house at Goodwood Museum serves as the centerpiece of this historic venue, offering a stunning backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The front lawn, framed by century-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creates a picture-perfect setting with the elegant house standing tall in the background.
Unlike Woodberry’s natural vibe, Goodwood is a photographer’s dream for its historical charm. The museum is a maze of gardens, some smaller trails, a reflection pool, and small cottages all around, all of which will provide almost never-ending photo opportunities.
For receptions, the renovated Carriage house and stables can accommodate up to 200 guests. This wooden structure exudes a rustic yet sophisticated charm that perfectly complements the venue’s surroundings.
If you’re planning a smaller wedding, they also offer the beautiful Jubilee cottage for weddings of up to 50 people.
Sowell Farms in Milton, Florida, is the perfect blend of country charm and elegant design. Nestled on 100 acres of land adorned with 100-year-old trees and breathtaking sunsets, this family-owned venue offers a stunning backdrop for any wedding day.
With multiple ceremony locations to choose from, couples can exchange vows under a massive oak tree, in a large outdoor pergola, beside a pond with a picturesque gazebo, or just outside the impressive two-story barn. The barn itself can host up to 275 guests for a reception and comes fully equipped with banquet-style tables, chairs, and even a backup generator to ensure your day goes off without a hitch.
Bridal parties can get ready in separate two-room cottages designed for comfort and convenience. Plus, couples have exclusive access to the venue for engagement photos, which is a thoughtful perk!
Another fun thing included in their packages is the chauffeured golf carts to shuttle the bridal party and family around the property, making getting around accessible and convenient.
Old Christ Church holds a special place in my heart—it’s where my wife and I tied the knot nearly ten years ago. Completed in 1832, this historic gem is one of the oldest surviving church buildings in Florida. Over the years, it’s served as an Episcopal Church, public library, and even a museum.
This venue is ideal for couples seeking an intimate and meaningful setting for their ceremony, accommodating up to 150 guests. When you book Old Christ Church, you’ll also have access to the Pfeiffer House, a charming cottage behind the church. The front room of the house is perfect for the bride’s finishing touches, while restrooms are available for wedding guests. There’s also a small space next to the stage inside the church for the groom to prepare.
The church’s acoustics are best suited for live, acoustic music. A Clavinova is available for use, but couples will need to provide their own pianist. If you love history and timeless architecture, Old Christ Church is a one-of-a-kind venue. It’s no surprise it remains one of my favorite Florida Panhandle wedding venues to this day!
Live Oak, like many of my other favorite venues, has a number of beautiful sites on the property that can be used for a ceremony space, which is great in the event of rain. The last time I was there, rain made it impossible for the couple to have their ceremony outdoors as planned. But the team at Live Oak didn’t miss a beat—they quickly flipped the reception hall into the most beautiful ceremony setup, and honestly, it turned out absolutely stunning. That kind of flexibility is priceless when it comes to planning a wedding in Florida.
Here, you and your guests can explore the lush surroundings, wander among the towering oaks, or soak in the beautiful views of Lake Blue Heron. And for receptions, the indoor space is truly breathtaking. The 3,800-square-foot reception hall features vaulted ceilings, Venetian chandeliers, a mahogany bar, and a dance floor. It’s elegant but still warm and inviting, with big windows and a covered veranda overlooking the lake, perfect for cocktail hour.
You can’t talk about Florida Panhandle wedding venues without mentioning the beaches! With roughly 200 miles of pristine coastline, the Panhandle offers some of the most breathtaking beach wedding locations in the country.
And if you’re planning a Pensacola beach wedding, I’ve got just the guide for you here!
The Florida Panhandle is filled with incredible venues to fit every couple’s vision. Whether you’re drawn to the rustic charm of Woodberry, the natural beauty of the beach, or something unique not yet on this list, you’ll find the perfect spot to celebrate your love exactly the way you want to!
